International Infection Prevention Week

14th to 18th October “Vaccination is everyone’s business”
Residents and staff held lots of activity’s throughout the week to highlight the importance of having the flu jab, there was cake and a coffee – whilst a discussion was held around Flu Vaccine “Myth Busters”

A Poem written by Jimmy – You won’t get the flu if you listen to Dr Nathoo, our Infection Control Lead liaised with local GP to arrange a clinic for resident and staff vaccinations

A collaborative Art Project was held by staff and residents “hand prints” to highlight that hands are the biggest carriers of germs

Residents design a poster competition was held as well as a Bullseye darts competition (questions around flu vaccine), Lightbox training for residents was held by Sharon and staff versus residents killer pool – infection questions and music
