It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John Hubert Cox MBE who died peacefully at home on 21st December 2025 at the age of 95, John had a life well lived and was cherished by everyone, we will miss him dearly.
On 11th December we celebrated Christmas Jumper Day. All the residents, staff and family members were invited to put on a Christmas Jumper or T-shirt and take part in the competition. We had 2 family members that picked 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the residents and they received a small prize. We love taking part in Christmas Festivities and had a lovely afternoon celebrating. Every year we get invited to Loreto College for a Christmas Dinner and celebrations. This is something we look forward to and appreciate so much. Our residents love it! Above are a few snapshots of the afternoon. We play games, dance and enjoy a lovely dinner.We already can’t wait for next year!
Every year we organise afternoon’s out at Blackpool. The residents enjoy the Christmas lights and food. We do multiple trips over the weeks it is on, so all our residents have the chance to go. This year there was a major Wallace & Gromit exhibition, “Wallace & Gromit: In A Case at the Museum”. It was held at The Harris in Preston from September 2025 to early January 2026. A group of our residents spent the afternoon out enjoying the exhibition.
