Saturday 24th November saw over 450 of the very best in social care attended a glittering awards ceremony at The Mercure Hotel, Manchester, for the finals of the Great North West Care Awards, where the category winners were announced.

Judges comments: Julie was very passionate and dedicated to her role. She leads by example and is committed to sharing the best practise with her staff, as well as other managers in the community. Her extensive knowledge of the care industry is also demonstrated by the ratings of outstanding at her last CQC inspection and the training and development of her staff.

Dementia Care Awards Finalist 2018

We are very proud to announce that one of our residents Gary Taylor was a finalist in the Dementia Care Awards 2018 in the category: Exceptional Contribution by a Person/People Living with Dementia
This award is made to a person, or group of people, living with dementia who lives and works with incredible passion and commitment to improving the lives and wellbeing of others living with dementia.   This award celebrates the many unsung heroes who, living with dementia themselves, contribute so much and inspire so many within the dementia community, Gary was nominated for his commitment to gardening work at Mary and Joseph House and volunteering in the community
Gary attended the judging in London 12th October 2018 supported by his key worker Lorna and Therapeutic Worker Tom
The Awards were created to celebrate the very best people in dementia care, culminating in a prestigious and glittering Gala Dinner on 8 November 2018, at the Hilton Brighton Metropole in Brighton

    Minister of State for Community and Social care.

    Judged on Horticultural Excellence, Community Involvement and Environmental Friendliness our second entry achieved Level 5, equivalent to a gold medal.

  • RHS Flower Show Tatton Park Gold Medal & Best in Show 2013

    Building on our previous successes, our flowerbed attained the highest possible accolade at the Royal Horticultural Society Tatton Park Flower Show.

  • Certificate of Recognition for Investors in People Standard 2015

    The latest of three awards from Investors in People, proving our excellence in people management.

  • Manchester City Council Bio-diversity Hot Spot Award 2012

    A local level award based on our commitment to encourage wildlife and create habitats.

  • North West in Bloom Level 5: Outstanding 2012

    Judged on Horticultural Excellence, Community Involvement and Environmental Friendliness our first entry achieved Level 5, equivalent to a gold medal.

  • Manchester Dignity in Care Award 2011

    We were awarded a Dignity in Care award after demonstrating the significance of maximising our residents' independence and choice, whilst respecting and maintaining privacy and dignity at all times.

    Our first entry into the world of garden challenges resulting in a Gold medal.
