Visiting the Blackpool illuminations and going out for a traditional fish supper is a time honoured tradition at Mary & Joseph House. We made the trip last December, which seemed like a great way to enjoy the Christmas build up.

In September, we spent an historic day, like many other people, watching the footage of our late Queen’s funeral. For those who wanted a more formal setting to watch the broadcast, our Chapel provided a peaceful space with a cinema screen and projector showing the event. Our Catering Team also produced these delicious selections of sweet and savoury snacks, as part of an Afternoon Tea service to mark the occasion.
Many happy returns to our dear Frankie, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Frankie loves to watch a good gameshow, so we marked this special occasion by making our very own version of the popular TV quiz, The Chase. It proved to be an absolute winner of a birthday!

We would like to introduce you to the latest member of our team – Vladimir I have been in the Catering industry since leaving school over 20 years ago. I chose to work in care industry to do something meaningful, rather than just focus on my career. I’d like for our residents to have the best possible nutrition whilst enjoying the food as well according to their individual needs and preferences. I would like to make a difference for the residents and alongside the rest of the team help them to live to the best of their abilities.
The friends of The Halle Orchestra paid us a visit, facilitating an interactive music workshop playing music from around the world, as well as some group interactive rhythm games which the residents thoroughly enjoyed, these involved each resident moving to the rhythm of the current music playing
